The 89th Ice Hockey World Championship will take place in Switzerland from May 15th to 31st and the Austrian national ice hockey team will also be there again. In preparation, two duels with the “favorite neighbor” are on the agenda.
On May 16th, Austria will enter the title fight with a duel against Great Britain. The ÖEHV selection will play the last group game ten days later – then team boss Roger Bader’s men will face the USA.
In preparation for the World Cup there will be two clashes between Austria and Germany. The two nations will face each other in Zell am See on April 30th, followed by another test on May 2nd in Garminsch-Partenkirchen.
