One day after the defeat in the derby against Fehervar AV19, FTC-Telekom celebrated three points against HC Pustertal. It was the league leaders’ second defeat within 24 hours.
FTC-Telekom also won the second duel of the season with HC Falkensteiner Pustertal 3-2. The team from Budapest got off to a better start at home and took the lead early on. A shot from Rasmus Bengtsson found its way into the goal, so the Hungarians were ahead after the first third. In the middle period, Kestilä increased the lead to 2-0 before Bowlby reduced the deficit for the South Tyroleans. A similar picture emerged in the final third: First Gordon made it 3:1, then Rueschhoff made things exciting again with 3:2. However, Ferencváros didn’t let their lead be taken away and climbed to eighth place in the table thanks to their success.
