Red Bull Salzburg under pressure: trend-setting duel with the Graz99ers!

After a morning training session in Budapest, the Eisbullen traveled on to Styria, where the last duel of the season with the Graz 99ers is scheduled for this evening (6.30 p.m.). Coach Manny Viveiros wants to take the positive aspects from the latest defeat and quickly correct the mistakes.

For the series champion, Graz is about much more than just returning to winning ways. Direct qualification for the Champions Hockey League is in danger. The first two places in the basic round entitle you to take part in the premier class.

With one more game, Salzburg is already seven points behind league leaders KAC and three points behind second-placed Graz, who have also played two games less and would have an advantage in a direct comparison.

Championship title as a last resort?

This means that the Eisbullen are under pressure both in Graz and in the subsequent duel with the KAC. If you miss two wins, there is a risk of a Champions League season without Salzburg participating for the first time since the 2019/20 season. The only way to qualify is to win the title again.
