Today in the Alps Hockey League there will be a summit meeting and a direct duel for the championship lead between the Red Bull Hockey Juniors and the KHL Sisak. HC Meran/o Pircher also welcomes HDD Jesenice. There is also another game on the program on Sunday.
The KHL Sisak was only able to take over the league lead on Thursday, when the Red Bull Hockey Juniors were free of play. Just 48 hours later, however, this is already shaky again, as there is a direct clash with the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, who are only one point behind the Croatians with two fewer games. However, the two previous duels of the season each went to Sisak – one of them only after a penalty shootout.
There will also be a duel between the two table neighbors HC Meran/o Pircher and HDD Jesenice on Saturday. The Slovenians are currently one point ahead of the Italians. In the previous duels this season, the home team prevailed.
Bregenzerwald against Cavaliers on Sunday
On Sunday there will also be a clash between EC Bregenzerwald and the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers. Bregenzerwald is currently in eighth place in the table and could get back within striking distance of the top 5 with a full result against the bottom team.
