AlpsHL: Kitzbühel celebrates dramatic victory – Asiago continues its winning streak!

HC Migross Asiago celebrated its third win in a row on Friday. The Italians won the home game against EC Bregenzerwald 4-1 and climbed to seventh place in the table. In the overtime success of second-placed Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel at HDD Jesenice, Mai Crnkic became the match winner with a hat trick.

The fans in Jesenice got to see a varied game in which Kitzbühel had the upper hand in the end. The guests took the lead early through Mitrovic, but the Slovenians turned the game in their favor in the first third: Svetina, Sodja Zalokar and Bohinc gave them a 3-1 lead. In the middle period, the Tyroleans reduced the score to 3-2 through Mai Crnkic, and the score remained at this point until the last minute of regular time. 30 seconds before the final siren, Crnkic equalized before the Slovenian secured the much-celebrated away win for the now second-placed Eagles with his hat trick in extra time.

HC Migross Asiago continued its winning streak and celebrated a 4-1 home win against EC Bregenzerwald. Rigoni gave the home team the lead after just 98 seconds. Lipsbergs managed to equalize in the middle period, but Magnabosco made it 2-1 shortly before the second break. Porco (46th) finally made the preliminary decision, Chiodo scored with an Empty Netter to make the final score. With their third win in a row, the Italians improved to seventh place.
