ICEHL: The top scorer is “Hockey News Player of the Month for September”!

In a “photo finish”, Laibach newcomer Nicolai Meyer narrowly secured the award of “Hockey News Player of the Month for September.” He therefore automatically qualified for the Player of the Year vote.

With a total of 2,452 votes and thus 22.13% of the votes, September’s top scorer Nicolai Meyer took victory with a lead of just one vote over his teammate Lukas Horak. Red Bull Salzburg defender Connor Corcoran completed the “Stockerl”, again just one vote behind with 1,162 votes (4.66%).

Nick Bailen (Graz99ers – 1,336/12.06%) narrowly missed the podium. The other places were taken by TJ Brennan (Laibach – 1,203/10.86%) and Brian Lebler (Linz- 69/210.71%).

Meyer is the first player to be permanently qualified to be voted player of the season. The election for Player of the Month for October will start in a few days.
