Fehervar ends the Vienna Capitals’ winning streak!

Hydro Fehervar narrowly prevailed against the Vienna Capitals and jumped to 7th place in the table thanks to the 2-1 win. However, the Viennese’s winning streak is over.

In front of more than 5,000 fans, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 celebrated a narrow 2-1 home win against the Vienna Capitals and thus scored extremely important points in the fight for the top 10. The Hungarians, seventh in the table, are now five points ahead of the tenth-placed Capitals and two more points ahead of the eleventh-placed Linz. For the Viennese it was the first defeat after three wins in a row, while Fehérvár celebrated their second home win in a row. After a goalless first third, Donát Horváth gave the home team the lead 56 seconds after the restart, seven minutes later Joel Messner increased it to 2-0. In the 44th minute, the Capitals reduced the score to 1:2 through Jeremy Gregoire, but they were no longer able to equalize. AVS goalkeeper Rasmus Reijola saved 34 shots, giving Fehérvár its first win in the third duel of the season.
