$ 128 million! -NHL star rejects record offer!

Kirill Kaprizov, Russian star player at Minnesota Wild, has reportedly rejected a historical contract for his team.

As hockey insider Frank Seravalli reported on Wednesday, the game offered the 28-year-old left-wing shooter an eight-year contract extension over $ 128 million-an amount that would have shown an NHL record both in the annual average ($ 16 million) and in the total.

Kaprizov, who has been active in the NHL for five seasons, can switch to a new team as a Free Agent from 2026 and has been entitled to sign an extension since July 1. Despite his young career, the Russian winger has already established himself as one of the best goal scorers in the league. The three-time 40-goal shooter achieved at least one point per game in all of an average of one season and won the Calder Trophy in his 2020/21 rookie season.

The triple all-star was only drained in 135th place in the 5th round-a later stroke of luck for the game, which now apparently wants to break new ground in his career.
