Harry Lange has a new employer!

Harry Lange has found a new employer after leaving the Moser Medical Graz99ers. The Klagenfurt native returns to Germany.

In mid-November, the Graz99ers parted ways with Harry Lange, who had looked after the team since the summer of 2024. A good month later, the 42-year-old is taking on a new challenge.

Lange will inherit the Düsseldorf-based company’s 62-year-old Rich Chernomaz, who will be working in management with immediate effect. DEG managing director Andreas Niederberger on the DEG homepage: “We had excellent conversations with Harry Lange. There is also good chemistry between him and Rich Chernomaz. It was immediately apparent that Lange was eager to come to Düsseldorf, work with the team and achieve a turnaround in the sport.”

Comeback in the DEL2

The Austrian is heading back to Germany, where he worked as a trainer between 2015 and 2024. He looked after EC Bad Nauheim for seven years, so he has a lot of experience in the DEL2. “I’m really looking forward to this exciting task. I know the DEL2 and know how tight things are in this league and what’s important. I’ll first get a picture of the team. It seems to me that it might just be small things to make the team’s undoubtedly existing qualities visible on the ice again,” said Lange.

The traditional DEG is only in 11th place after 24 games and would have to face a play-out. With Lange you want to turn things around and get back to the top. Today DEG is visiting the Lausitzer Füchsen and on Sunday they host Freiburg.
