Relief for the
Graz99ers: Captain
Korbinian Holzer
is back on the ice in time for the start of the final. After a persistent case of pneumonia that recently put the experienced defender out of action, the doctors have now given the green light for his comeback – this is reported by the “Kronen Zeitung”.
The past few weeks have been anything but easy for the defense chief. While his teammates trained and prepared for the crucial phase of the season, Holzer was forced to watch. Even contact with the team was limited to messages at times – the risk of infection was too great and entering the dressing room was taboo.
The joy of his return is even greater. After intensive medical examinations, it is clear: the captain is fit enough for the first final appearance on Wednesday (7:45 p.m.) in Graz against the
HC Pustertal. Holzer emphasized in advance that pneumonia should not be underestimated – it was all the more important not to take any risks.
