VSV sports director Hohenberger dissatisfied: “I don’t want to see that we give up”

After the successful start with the away win at Ferencváros Budapest, VSV had to accept a bitter setback on Sunday in Laibach. The blue and white clearly lost 2: 7-and especially the way of defeat, sports director Herbert Hohenberger caused clear words.

“We played well in the first 15 minutes, but let our heads hang after the first goal,” said neo-sports director Herbie Hohenberger to the “Kronen Zeitung”. “Then we took stupid punishments. I don’t say anything with a hard check – but our punishments were really something!”

The outnumbered was a big problem. Hohenberger: “In the outnumber, you have to pay the price – block shots, do little things. It all has to get better.”

Coach Tray Tuomie also saw the need to catch up: the Villacher remained four times in the power play. “We have to think about the constellation of the special teams,” said the head coach. The game was decided at the latest after the 2: 5. Hohenberger particularly annoyed the attitude: “Even there were still 14 minutes on the clock – I don’t want to see that we give up.”
