In the game for third place at the Red Bulls Salute, Red Bull Salzburg in the group’s internal duel with Red Bull Munich, despite a dream start, clearly defeated 2: 6.
The Salzburgers got a perfect start and used a power play according to CHL rules twice: In the 9th minute, Troy Bourke and Tyler Lewington met for the 2-0 lead within a few seconds. But Munich found increasingly better into the game and shortened in the first third by Adam Brooks to 1: 2.
In the middle section, Gabriel Fontaine managed to compensate for the Germans. In the final third, the Munich team finally turned the game: Tobias Rieder, Jeremy McKenna and twice Yasin Ehliz made the 6-2 final score with their goals.
Salzburg remained without a win after the opening loss to Zug also in the second game at the Red Bulls Salute.
