A goal for Kurashev, an autogoal for Meier

Facing a team that the Blackhawks had not beaten in 12 matches, since December 15, 2019, Philipp Kurashev concluded a break with a masterful wrist throw which left goalkeeper Filip Gustavsson no chance. Author of his third goal of the season, Philipp Kurashev obtained the first star.

This Sunday was, however, less rosy for Timo Meier. The Appenzellois, in fact, committed an unfortunate autogoal in the 17th which allowed San Jose to win 1-0 in Newark against the Devils. The Appenzeller probably dreamed of another outcome against his former team. But he was unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time on a backhand pass from Nico Sturm.

Despite their 44 shots, the Devils were unable to beat… their former goalkeeper Mackenzie Blackwood. After three victories in a row, they conceded a very improbable defeat. The Sharks had, in fact, never won a match in regulation time away from home this season.
