The EC Red Bull Salzburg celebrates a 4: 1 home success on the Pioneers Vorarlberg on Sunday and thus remains on the heels to the league leader from Laibach.
Defending champion EC Red Bull Salzburg won 4: 1 against the Pioneers Vorarlberg. Strongly playing guests from Feldkirch initially took the lead through Collin Adams in the lead (9th). Up to the 21st minute it remained at 0-1 before Michael Raffl equalized shortly after a power play for the Red Bulls. For the top scorer of the Mozart town, it was already the tenth scorer point and second goal of the season. As a result, a balanced game developed, which only took a turn in the 44th minute: Peter Schneider scored in the power play for the 2-1 lead of the home side-his first goal of the season. Just four minutes later, Lucas Thaler increased to 3: 1 and thus made the preliminary decision. Benjamin Nissner set the end with a remarkable coast-to-coast goal (57th). It was the first goal of the current season for him too. In the table, Salzburg – after the fifth victory in the sixth game – is still in second place with 14 points. The Pioneers remain in twelfth place.
