Manny Viveiros will remain the Eisbullen’s head coach next season. Manager Helmut Schlögl confirmed this to the “Kronen Zeitung” on Friday, thereby providing clarity after the recent speculation.
We had already reported that there are now many indications that the coach will stay – now the confirmation to the “Kronen Zeitung” followed. Despite the disappointing season and the early exit in the quarter-finals of the ICE Hockey League, Salzburg continues to rely on continuity behind the board.
“The process we are in and the discussions we are having make us confident that we can continue our collaboration,” explained Schlögl. This means that there will be no complete upheaval, even if intensive analysis has been carried out internally.
For Viveiros himself, an early departure was never seriously discussed. The coach appeared combative and emphasized: “Our coaching team is good. We have a lot of experience and know exactly what we are doing. We are learning from what happened to us this year.”
