The KHL Sisak wins the doubleheader against EC Bregenzerwald for the second time within 24 hours after “overtime”. On Saturday, the Croatians needed a penalty shootout to win. On Sunday they made the decision a little earlier – namely in overtime. Bregenzerwald had previously had the better start and took the lead 1-0 and 2-1. However, Bohdan Panasenko made the small difference. First he shot his team into overtime. There he made the decision after just under 30 seconds. With this success, the KHL Sisak is back at the top of the table.
It took even longer for a decision to be made in Merano. In the game against HC Asiago, the hosts initially led the way after a goalless first third. However, Asiago turned the game around thanks to a brace from Lucas Chiodo and even took a 4-1 lead at one point. But Meran fought back and equalized to 4:4 by the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Asiago took the lead again, but Meran had the right answer to that too. After a goalless extra time, Ryan Valentini made the decision in the penalty shootout.
