Eddie Pasquale from HC Falkensteiner Pustertal has not conceded a goal for an impressive 268 minutes and 9 seconds. The Canadian celebrated a shutout in all three semi-final games against Olimpija Ljubljana.
In the fourth game of the quarter-final series against Salzburg he only had to admit defeat in the 18th minute. This means that Pasquale currently has the longest time without conceding a goal in the playoffs by a wide margin. In second place is Sebastian Dahm (KAC), who went an impressive 164 minutes and 3 seconds without conceding a goal in the 2024 postseason.
Eddie Pasquale is currently an insurmountable wall: the Olimpija Ljubljana players repeatedly cannot find a way to overcome the Pustertal goalie. But it’s not just the Slovenians who are having a hard time – Salzburg’s strikers in the quarter-finals also repeatedly failed because of him.

In all three semi-final games, Pasquale saved 22, 24 and 27 shots on goal. In the fourth quarter-final against Salzburg, he only had one of the 30 shots on goal – in the 18th minute by Peter Schneider. In the following 268 minutes and 9 seconds he kept a complete clean sheet. Since the fourth quarter-final went into the 106th minute, Pasquale has not conceded a goal for almost four and a half full games.
Sebastian Dahm from EC-KAC follows a long way behind in second place. In the 2024 playoffs, the Dane went 164 minutes and 3 seconds without conceding a goal between March 3rd and 9th. Third place goes to Atte Tolvanen from EC Red Bull Salzburg, who went 160 minutes and 47 seconds without conceding a goal in last season’s final. Before that, such long series without conceding a goal were a rarity. Fourth place goes to Matthew Zaba, who played 153 minutes and 38 seconds in goal for the Vienna Capitals in 2013.
