Salzburg celebrates a last-minute win at Black Wings Linz!

EC Red Bull Salzburg extended their winning streak to four games with an away win at Black Wings Linz. Both Thomas and Michael Raffl scored in the 3-2 win.

EC Red Bull Salzburg celebrated their fourth win in a row at the Steinbach Black Wings Linz. It wasn’t until 37 seconds before the end that Thomas Raffl scored to make the final score 3-2. In front of 4,700 fans, the defending champions were already 1-0 and 2-1 in the lead, but tenth-placed Linz always had the right answer ready. First, Shawn St-Amant canceled out Michael Raffl’s lead when he was outnumbered, before Graham Knott made it 2-2 in the 52nd minute after Dennis Robertson had given the Red Bulls the lead again at the start of the final third. In the end, however, it was the second defeat in a row for the Black Wings, who are still in tenth place – three points ahead of the Vienna Capitals. The Viennese will complete the 30th round in Bolzano on Saturday and could catch up with Linz with a win. Salzburg remains in sixth place, now seven points ahead of seventh-placed Budapest.
