Former Pustertal and Bratislava crack joins traditional German club!

At the age of 31, former ICEHL striker Marc-Olivier Roy is taking on a new challenge. He signs with a traditional German club.

A few years ago, Roy stormed for the then ICEHL club Bratislava Capitals and delivered one point per game there. However, he ended the 2021/22 season after a guest appearance in Finland for the Swedish club BIK Karlskoga.

But in 2022/23 he stormed back into the multinational league, Roy signed a contract with HC Pustertal Wölfe. There he had 23 points in 47 games this season. This made him Bruneck’s fifth best scorer. But after one season the collaboration ended.

The left-handed shooter spent the last few years at Nove Zamky, the Danish club Rungsted Seier Capital and most recently HK Dukla Michalovce, where he was able to show his offensive qualities with 57 points in 51 games. Only Jordan Martel had more points with 58 points.

Now Marc-Olivier Roy is going to Germany for the first time. The Canadian, born in Boisbriand, Quebec, is joining EV Landshut for the 2026/27 season.
