Now it’s official:
Žiga Jeglič and
Jan Urbas return to the
ICE Hockey League
back. After her farewell to the
Fishtown Penguins
The two offensive forces are starting a new chapter in their careers.
The goal is now fixed
HK Olimpija Ljubljana
firmly. This leads to the much-discussed return to their homeland.
Jeglič brings enormous experience with him. The creative playmaker already knows the league from his time at
HK Jesenice and celebrated in 2014 with the
ERC Ingolstadt the championship title in the DEL. In Bremerhaven, too, he was recently a central factor in the offensive game and a constant in the power play.
Urbas, on the other hand, represents goal threat and leadership. The robust striker has developed into one of the DEL’s most consistent scorers in recent years and even secured the top scorer crown in the 2023/24 season. With his experience and presence, he will also play a key role in Ljubljana.
This double transfer is a real exclamation mark for Olimpija. Signing two players of this caliber not only strengthens your own team, but also enhances the entire league. The ICE Hockey League can look forward to even more quality and attention.
