In the 2025/26 season he temporarily developed into a clear long-term favorite in goal, as the regular backup Dominik Horváth was unavailable due to injury and Reijola received significantly more appearances than originally planned. In the regular season he played 39 games, had a goals against average of 2.95 and a catch rate of .911, making him one of the top goalkeepers in the league.
The long-running favorite in the playoffs
He was also the clear number one in goal in the playoffs and was on the ice in 13 games in which he achieved a catch rate of .914 and a goals against average of 3.02. Overall, he showed stable performances despite the high stress and was an important support for his team, even if the playoffs were very physically and playfully demanding.
