FTC telecom-EC IDM heat pumps VSV

The Budapest league owl receives the VSV in the Tüskecsarnok Arena (2,000 places) at the start. The 31-way Hungarian champion won three of his six test games in preparation-just like Villach. The VSV is the first team to meet the “great unknown”. In the previous season, Villach failed in the quarter -finals, as did FTC in the Hungarian first division. The Hungarians have already completed a first competitive game: In the Hungarian Supercup, they clearly prevailed 5-0 against the Budapest Akademia, with new signing Brady Shaw shining with a double pack.

EC-KAC-Hydro Fehérvár AV19

The second Carinthian club also meets a Hungarian team at the start. The EC-KAC receives Hydro Fehérvár AV19. Last season, the runner -up from Klagenfurt won two of the four direct duels. While Feirvár only booked two victories from six games in the Preseason, the KAC already gained valuable experience in the Champions Hockey League: four games, including successes against the polar bear Berlin (3: 2) and the Odense Bulldogs (6: 3).

Steinbach Black Wings Linz – Pioneers Vorarlberg

The Black Wings Linz start after their strong pre -season, which only ended in the semi -finals against the KAC, with a home game against the Pioneers Vorarlberg. While Linz celebrated three victories in the Preseason, the Vorarlbergers were four. In a direct comparison, the Upper Austrians clearly had their nose ahead in 2024/25: three victories from four games. Especially at home, the Linzer recently presented themselves strongly with twelve successes from the past 15 home games.

HC Tiwag Innsbruck – HC Falkensteiner Pustertal

The Tyrolian derby ensures the derby atmosphere at the start. Innsbruck wants to leave the disappointing pre -season behind, while Puster Valley is targeting the playoffs. Last year the wolves clearly had the upper hand against the sharks – all four games went to Puster Valley with at least three goals. In preparation, Innsbruck was improved with four wins from six games, Pustertal won three of his six test games.

Olimpija Ljubljana – Vienna Capitals

A capital duel is also on the game plan: Olimpija Ljubljana meets the Vienna Capitals. In the previous season, the Slovenes were able to win all four matches against Vienna. In the end, both teams ended up in the pre-playoffs, where it was over. In preparation, both teams celebrated three victories – Olimpija from Sieben, the caps from six games.

HCB South Tyrol Alperia – EC Red Bull Salzburg

At the end of the first match day, the new edition of the semi -finals increases: Bolzano receives the defending champion Salzburg. The Red Bulls won the series 4: 1 in the previous year and a total of seven of their nine Saisonduels against HCB. In the current Champions Hockey League, both teams were able to play the first games under competition conditions: Salzburg started with two wins, but then conceded two defeats. Bolzano also prevailed in two games.
