Last week, Austro Export Vinzenz Rohrer was ordered to North America, and last night he made his debut in the American Hockey League.
Last Tuesday, the Montreal Canadiens brought their former 3rd round pick to Quebec, Rohrer is expected to gain important experience with Laval Rocket in the AHL. The first team training took place on Friday and the debut took place last night.
The last two games of the regular season were scheduled for Laval Rocket last weekend. They had to play against the Toronto Marlies twice and both games in the Canadian duel went to the team from Ontario. Once they lost 3:4, and on the night from yesterday to today they lost 2:4. In the last game of the season, Vinzenz Rohrer made his first AHL appearance and immediately showed what he was made of.

The Vorarlberg player made it 1-1 in the tenth minute and made it 2-3 from Laval’s point of view in the middle of the last period. The striker ended his AHL debut with one goal, one assist and was also voted “2nd star of the game”.
Laval finished the 72-game season in first place in the North Division, one point ahead of the Syracuse Crunch. So now the playoffs are waiting and Rohrer and Co. won’t start playing for a few days. The AHL division winners have a bye in the first round, and in the second round they face the winner of the series between Syracuse and Cleveland.
