ICEHL: Looking for strikers The Black Wings Linz is difficult!

With almost complete squad, the Black Wings Linz started the new season of the Win2day Ice Hockey League on Wednesday. But one personnel is still missing: a center continues to be sought and the decision should still be a long time coming.

“We still lack this piece of the puzzle,” says head coach and sports director Philipp Lukas in an interview Laola1. It is not surprising for him that no new name was presented at the start of the training. The search for the fifth newcomer is a complex process. “We’re not only since yesterday, but it is difficult because many factors play along.”

We are looking for a game -intelligent center to act as a player for striker Brian Lebler. But the selection is limited, not least because of the available budget. “First of all, the player has to be ready to come to Linz. Then that has to fit the financial,” explains Lukas. The market is tight, the competition within the league.

However, you want to avoid a quick shot in Linz. “We have to fish in the right pond,” continued Lukas. The new player must fit the team in terms of sport and human and complement the existing structure sensibly. “A shot in the blue brings us nothing.”
