KAC ends Black Wings Linz’s winning streak!

After five successes en suite, the winning streak of the Steinbach Black Wings Linz against the record champions EC-KAC has been broken. The Red Jackets won 5-3 in front of their home crowd.

The EC-KAC won the duel between the teams with the strongest form and ended the winning streak of the Steinbach Black Wings Linz. The Klagenfurt team got off to a furious start and made it 2-0 within the first three minutes through Thomas Hundertpfund and Mario Kempe. The Black Wings shortened the score in the first period, but found no way to counter the KAC’s offensive strength in the middle third. We entered the final period with a 5:2 lead, and in the end the Red Jackets won 5:3. For Linz it was the first defeat after five successes in a row, while the KAC climbed to third place in the table.
