No Christmas peace: Another resignation from the ÖEHV!

Shortly before Christmas there is another turmoil at the ÖEHV: Jürgen Hampel, another member of the executive committee, is leaving the association, as the “Kurier” reports.

At the beginning of August, the Austrian Ice Hockey Association presented a new managing director, Alexander Helwig, the fourth since 2020 after Christian Hartl, Friedrich Nikolaus and Bernhard Friedrich.

Anyone who thought that calm would now return was mistaken. Because now another vice president resigned. Only nine months ago, Lower Austria’s regional association president Jürgen Hampel succeeded Vienna’s regional president Andreas Ösze, who resigned at the time.

Now Hampel is saying goodbye again after just nine months. He left the reasons for this open, only telling the “Kurier” that this would be clarified internally.
