FTC-Telekom retained the upper hand at EC iDM Heat Pumps VSV with 5:4, after Villach had already led 3:0 after 26 minutes. An incredible seven of the nine goals came in the middle third. The Hungarians initially reduced the score to 2:3 before VSV pulled away again to 4:2. However, after 40 minutes it was 4:4 before Tyler Coulter scored the decisive goal for the league newcomer in the 50th minute in the final third. It was the center’s second goal of the evening. In the table, FTC moved past VSV and is now seventh, while Villach is eighth, one point behind the Hungarians.
