The EC VSV had to accept the next narrow defeat in the fourth preparation game. Against the DEL2 club EV Landshut, the eagles from Villach lost 3: 4 after extra time.
Particularly noteworthy: The only 15-year-old Luca Fischer put the Villacher in the lead. However, Landshut equalized through Oliver Stümpel before the first break. In the second third, veteran David Stieler took care of the home side before captain Alexander Rauchwald scored 2-2.
In the final section, ex-VSV striker Julian Kornelli scored 3-2 for Landshut. But the eagles demonstrated morality: shortly before the end, Nikita Scherbak marked the compensation. In the extension, however, the EV Landshut had the better end for itself and secured the 4: 3 success.
For the VSV it was already the third defeat in the ongoing preseason in the fourth game.
