18-year-old defenseman Olen Zellweger had a whopping eight points (0G-8A) in four games earning him WHL Player of the Week.
- March 18 and 19: 2 assists in a split against the Vancouver Giants
- March 20: 4 assists in a 6-3 win over the Spokane Chiefs
The Anaheim Ducks prospect has been on fire this season as he has put up a whopping 67 points (12G-55A) in just 48 games. The Calgary product has played 118 games win his DUB career so far and has put up 92 points (16G-76A).

2001-born Taylor Gauthier was named WHL Goaltender of the Week after going 2-0-0-0 with a 0.50 goals-against average and .981 save percentage in a weekend sweep of the Seattle Thunderbirds.
- March 19 stopped 33 of 34 in a 4-1 win
- March 20 stopped all 20 in a 3-0 win
Since joining the Winterhawks the Pittsburgh Penguins prospect has an astounding 18-3-0-0 record with a 1.74 GAA, .934 SV%, and four shutouts. Overall in his DUB career, he is 71-90-8-8 with a 3.02 GAA, .910 SV%, and 10 shutouts.

Jake DeBrusk (Swift Current, Red Deer 2013-16) has signed a two-year extension with the Boston Bruins. In his fifth season with the Bruins, the 25-year-old has 26 points (15G-11A) in 58 games.
In his three-year DUB career, the Edmonton product played 205 games collecting 185 points (78G-107A).

Brett Kulak (Vancouver 2010-14) was traded by the Montreal Canadiens to the Edmonton Oilers in an NHL Trade Deadline deal. The 28-year-old defenseman gives the Oilers some much-needed blueline depth. In 56 games he had 13 points (3G-10A).
The Stony Plain, AB native played his entire 216 game DUB career with the Giants where he collected 128 points (35G-93A).

Brayden Burke (Red Deer, Lethbridge, Moose Jaw 2014-18) was traded by the Los Angeles Kings to the Nashville Predators in another NHL Trade Deadline move. The 25-year-old had 17 points (6G-11A) in 31 games with the AHL’s Ontario Reign this season. He was then reassigned to the Milwaukee Admirals.
The Edmonton product had an impressive DUB career where he picked up 338 points (85G-253A) in just 238 games.

A day after being placed on waivers by the Golden Knights, Derrick Pouliot (Portland 2009-14) was claimed by the Seattle Kraken. The Estevan, SK product had signed an AHL contract with Vegas’ AHL club the Henderson Silver Knights. The 28-year-old defenseman has played 42 games with Henderson where he has 19 points (2G-17A). In two games with the Golden Knights, he had an assist.
Pouliot played his entire DUB career patrolling the blueline with the Winterhawks where he appeared in 247 games and provided some offense picking up 205 points (42G-163A).
Reichel extends with Jets, reassigned to Moose

Kristian Reichel (Red Deer 2017-18) signed a two-year two-way extension with the Winnipeg Jets and was been reassigned to the Manitoba Moose. The 23-year-old, four-year pro forward has played 13 games with the Jets where he has two points (1G-1A). In 26 games with the Moose, he has 12 points (5G-7A).
In his lone DUB career, Reichel scored 34 times and assisted on 23 others in 63 games for the Rebels.
Nogier traded to the Kings, assigned to Reign

25-year-old defensive defenseman Nelson Nogier (Saskatoon, Red Deer 2011-16) was acquired by the Los Angeles Kings from the Winnipeg Jets. In 25 games with the Manitoba Moose, he has six points (3G-3A). He was then assigned to the Ontario Reign.
The Saskatoon product played 235 DUB games where he had 50 points (8G-42A).
Folk, Lindgren released by Norfolk

One week after joining the Norfolk Admirals both Carter Folk (Seattle, Lethbridge, Victoria 2013-17) and Ryley Lindgren (Brandon, Lethbridge, Swift Current 2012-17) were released from their ECHL tryouts.
Folk had played 20 games with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies (USports) where he had 11 points (5G-6A) before signing with the Admirals. He played three ECHL games before his release. From Regina, SK, he played 246 DUB games picking up 79 points (33G-46A).
Lindgren had 19 points (5G-14A) in 20 games with the Mount Royal Cougars (USports). He suited up for three ECHL games before his release. A product of East St. Paul, MB played in 259 DUB games where he had 167 points (69G-98A).

David Tendeck (Vancouver 2015-20) was recalled by the Tuscon Roadrunners of the AHL from the Rapid City Rush (ECHL). The North Vancouver, BC product has been up and down between the two clubs multiple times this season. In three games with the Roadrunners, he is 1-1-0 with a 2.49 goals-against average and .915 save percentage. With the Rush, he has played 19 games with a 5-13-1 record with a 3.54 GAA and .901 SV%.
The four-year DUB netminder played 145 games going 72-54-6-4 with a 2.96 GAA, .905 SV%, and 10 shutouts.

Two days after 28-year-old Tyrell Goulbourne (Kelowna 2009-15) was loaned to the ECHL’s Atlanta Gladiators, his rights were traded to the Stockton Heat by the AHL’s Belleville Senators. He had signed an AHL deal with Belleville back in the summer of 2021. In nine games with the Baby Sens, he has been held off the scoresheet.
The Edmonton Product played his entire DUB career with the Rockets where he skated in 275 games collecting 125 points (60G-65A).
Rask traded to Kraken, assigned to Checkers

Victor Rask (Calgary 2011-13) cleared waivers and was reassigned to the Iowa Wild on February 20th, was traded to the Seattle Kraken. The 28-year-old has played 29 games with Minnesota he had picked up 13 points (5G-8A), he had joined the Wild during the 2018-19 season. In 10 games with Iowa, he had 10 points (2G-8A). He was then assigned to the Charlotte Checkers (AHL).
In two seasons with Calgary, the Leksand, Sweden product played 101 games where he averaged 1.04 points-per-game with 104 (47G-57A).
Sawchenko reassigned to Barracuda

24-year-old Zach Sawchenko (Moose Jaw 2013-2017) was reassigned to the San Jose Barracuda from the San Jose Sharks. In seven games with the Sharks, the Calgary product has a 1-2-1 record with a 3.35 GAA and .901 SV%. With the Barracuda, he has made 11 appearances where he has a 4-7-0 record with a 4.17 GAA and .866 SV%.
In his DUB career, Sawchenko played 177 games all with the Warriors where he went 88-65-16 with a 3.11 GAA, .908 SV%, and nine shutouts.

22-year-old Zack Hayes was recalled from the Henderson Silver Knights by the Vegas Golden Knights and made his NHL debut in a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild. He wore sweater number 65, threw six hits in just 9:22 of ice time. In 40 games with Henderson, he has eight points (2G-6A).
The hard-hitting defenseman from Calgary played his entire DUB career with the Raiders where he played 272 games collecting 79 points (15G-64A).

Radek Duda (Regina, Lethbridge 1998-2000) has announced his retirement via Instagram.

The 43-year-old had signed with Dukla Trenčín of the Tipos Extraliga (Slovakia) on February 14th. Playing in his 21st professional season, Duda had 13 points (6G-7A) in 15 games with Benatky. With Dukla Trenčín he had four points (2G-2A) in 12 games.
Duda played two seasons in the DUB, his first with the Pats before being traded to the Hurricanes. in 134 games he had 161 points (66G-95A).
