Rybinski signs entry-level deal with Capitals

Overage forward Henry Rybinski signed a three-year entry-level deal with the Washington Capitals. The Vancouver product is having a career year with the Seattle Thunderbirds in 2021-22 where he has 54 points (18G-36A) in 39 games. After starting his career with the Tigers the forward was traded to the Thunderbirds where he has played 225 DUB games tallying 163 points (47G-118A) so far.
Gauthier signs entry-level deal with the Penguins
The Penguins have signed undrafted free agent forward Jordan Frasca and goaltender Taylor Gauthier each to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Overage goaltender Taylor Gauthier signed a three-year entry-level deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Since his acquisition by the Portland Winterhawks from the Prince George Cougars in January, the Calgary, AB product has been on fire going 13-1-0 in 14 games while pitching a 1.64 GAA, .943 SV% with three shutouts. In 180 DUB games thus far in his career, he has a 66-88-16 record with a 3.06 GAA, .908 SV%, and nine shutouts.
Bedard named DUB Player of the Month

16-year-old Connor Bedard was named DUB Player of the Month after leading the league with 26 points (13G-13A) in the month of February and is now eighth in the league in scoring with 64 points (33G-31A). The North Vancouver product had at least one point in all 12 February contests he played with 10 of them being multi-point outings.

Overage netminder Carl Tetachuk was named DUB Goaltender of the Month for February after posting a 4-2-0-1 record for the month to go with an impressive 1.28 goals-against average, .952 save percentage, a pair of shutouts in February. The Lethbridge, AB product was acquired by the Hurricanes in July of 2021 and has played 41 games for the Warriors where he is 23-11-3-2 with a 2.74 GAA, .925 SV%, and two shutouts. Overall in his DUB career so far, he has played 136 games where he has a career 73-39-8-8 record with a 2.96 GAA, .905 SV%, and seven shutouts.

Rudolf Cerveny (Regina 2007-09) has joined the Finland Liiga’s Kärpät for the remainder of the season. The 32-year-old started the season with the KHL’s Dinamo Riga where he played 32 games collecting 12 points (7G-5A). Cerveny returned to Liiga where he spent the 2020-21 season with the Pelicans where he scored 21 goals in 56 games.
The Ceske Budejovice, Czech product played 116 DUB games with the Pats where he picked up 40 points (16G-24A).

Davis Vandane (Saskatoon, Spokane, Prince Albert 2009-13) signed with Löwen Frankfurt in Germany’s DEL2 after agreeing to a mutual release from Dornbirner of the ICE HL in Austria. In 46 games the 29-year-old forward had 31 points (10G-21A).
The Yorkton, SK defenseman played in parts of four seasons in the DUB playing 189 games where he collected 79 points (15G-64A).

Cole Kehler (Kamloops, Portland 2013-18) was released by the ECHL’s Utah Grizzlies who was acquired from the Cincinnati Cyclones on December 30, 2021. The 24-year-old Altona, MB product has also played for the Rapid City Rush where he started the season. With the Rush, he played two games going 1-0-1 with a 4.25 goals-against average and .830 save percentage. With the Cyclones, he made four appearances, going 2-1-0 with a 3.57 GAA and .871 SV%. He played six games with the Grizzlies before his release. He went 3-2-1 with a 3.29 GAA and .898 SV%.
After starting his DUB career with the Blazers he spent the last two seasons with the Winterhawks, where he came into his own winning 62 games with Portland. Overall, he played 141 games going 66-51-10 with a 3.31 GAA, .899 SV%, and 6 SO.

Jiri Patera (Brandon 2018-20) was reassigned to the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL by the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights and has split his time with both clubs in 2021-22. With Henderson, he has played in 12 games where he went 6-6-0 with a 2.73 GAA and .913 save percentage. With Fort Wayne, the Praha, CZ product has played in 14 games going 6-5-3 with a 2.76 GAA and .907 SV%.
In his two DUB seasons, both with the Wheat Kings, Patera got into 89 games going 46-32-9 with a 2.95 GAA, .913 SV%, and six shutouts.

A couple of days after being reassigned to the Henderson Silver Knights, Jake Leschyshyn (Regina, Lethbridge 2014-19) has been recalled by the Vegas Golden Knights. He has spent time with both clubs this season where he has played 20 games with Vegas where he has four points (1G-3A). With Henderson, he has played 31 games and has 24 points (12G-12A).
The five-year DUB forward played 257 games (mostly with the Pats before finishing with the Hurricanes) where he collected 180 points (85G-95A).
Heatherington was recalled by Ottawa

Dillon Heatherington (Swift Current 2010-15) was called-up by the Ottawa Senators from their AHL affiliate in Belleville less than two weeks after being reassigned there. The 26-year-old has played nine games with the Ottawa version of the Senators, he was held off the scoresheet but collected seven penalty minutes. In Belville, he has 11 points (2G-9A) in 24 games.
The Calgary product played his DUB career with the Broncos where he was more known for his defense, he suited up for 247 games collecting 87 points (13G-74A).

Jaret Anderson-Dolan (Spokane 2014-19) was recalled by the Los Angeles Kings from their AHL affiliate the Ontario Reign. The 22-year-old forward has played a pair of games with the Kings this season and has been held off the scoresheet. He has spent the majority of the season with the Reign where he has 37 points (21G-16A) in 39 games.
The Calgary product spent his entire 244 game DUB career with the Chiefs where he had 236 points (113G-123A).

Brayden Brown (Edmonton, Calgary 2013-17) has joined the Coventry Blaze in England’s EIHL for the remainder of the season. The 24-year-old had just finished his USports season with Trinity Western University where he had been playing since 2017-18. In 2021-22 he played 20 games he had nine points (5G-4A).
Over parts of four DUB seasons, the Calgary product played 67 games where he had eight points (5G-3A).
