Red Deer Rebels 2019-2020 schedule highlights

The WHL has released the entire schedule for the 2019-2020 season. The Rebels will play a total of 34 games on the road and at the Westerner Park Centrium.

The Rebels open the season with a home-and-home set against the reigning Central Division champion Edmonton Oil Kings. Those dates are September 21st and 22nd.

Red Deer will make it’s first trip to the newest team in the Central Divison, the Swift Current Broncos on Friday, October 4th.

This season the teams from the US Division will visit Red Deer as part of the alternating year scheduling for those opponents, their schedule is as follows:

vs. Portland Friday, October 11.

vs. Seattle Friday, October 25.

vs. Everett Monday, December 30.

vs. Tri-City Friday, February 22.

vs. Spokane Friday, March 6.

Following their move to Winnipeg, the ICE will make their inaugural visit to the Westerner Park Centrium on Friday, January 31. The Rebels will play in Winnipeg on Wednesday, November 6th.

The team will embark on a six-game road trip to kick off November while Agri-trade is in the city. Following their game on October 25th, the Rebels will be on the road for games against Saskatchewan and Manitoban teams. They return home on November 15th to take on the Medicine Hat Tigers. The six-game road swing is their longest of the season.

The team also makes a trek through British Columbia. That five-game road trip begins in Victoria on February 11, 2020 ends in Prince George on February 17th.

Red Deer does not have any three games in three nights on their schedule this season. They do play a few three games in four night and four games in five nights.

The team ends the season how it started, with a home-and-home against the Edmonton Oil Kings.
