The Prince Albert Raiders saw their season come to an end with a 5-2 loss against the OHL Champion Guelph Storm. The WHL Champion has now suffered 13 consecutive losses since the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Quebec Remparts 9-3 at the 2015 Memorial Cup. The Memorial Cup will resume on Wednesday with the final round-robin game between the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and the Halifax Mooseheads.

The Edmonton Oil Kings announced the signing of 2019 first round pick Caleb Reimer on Tuesday. The Surrey, BC native played the 2018-19 season for Delta Hockey Academy Bantam Prep scoring 18 goals and 27 assists in 30 games. He is the second player to sign from the 2019 draft class following his Delta Hockey Academy teammate Niall Crocker who signed with Prince Albert earlier this month.
Broncos sign Lewis

The Swift Current Broncos have signed Braeden Lewis to a standard player agreement. Lewis was a sixth-round pick of the Broncos in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft. The native of Virden, Manitoba played for the Southwest Cougars Midget AAA squad in the Manitoba Midget Hockey League and scored 10 goals and added 20 assists in 45 games.

The Spokane Chiefs announced that they have signed head coach Dan Lambert to a contract extension. Terms of the deal were not announced. Lambert has been with the Chiefs since the beginning of the 2017-18 season and has led the Chiefs to an 81-46-5-8 record in the regular season as well as a berth in the 2019 Western Conference Final against the Vancouver Giants. He was also recently named head coach of Team Canada for the 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

The Regina Pats have announced they will be holding a prospect camp this weekend in Regina and 23 players will be attending the camp. Forward Jake Johnson (24 GP, 3 G 17 A with the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes) and goaltender Matthew Pesenti (2 GP with Regina this year) are the only players currently under contract to the Pats who will be attending the camp.

The Medicine Hat Tigers also announced that they will be holding an Orientation Camp this weekend but did not announce any rosters for the camp. However, they say all 2003 and 2004 born drafted and listed players were invited to attend the camp.

The Hershey Bears of the AHL have announced they have signed former Brandon Wheat Kings netminder Logan Thompson (122 GP) to a one-year AHL contract for the 2019-20 season. Thompson primarily spent last year with the Brock University Badgers in Ontario where he was the Rookie and Goalie of the Year. He also saw time with the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder and AHL’s Binghamton Devils.

The Edmonton Oilers have relieved Lethbridge Broncos alumni Duane Sutter of his duties as Vice President of Player Personnel. Sutter played 92 games in the WHL scoring 68 goals and 91 assists. He also spent part of one season as head coach of the Medicine Hat Tigers in the 1992-93 season.

DubNetwork would like to extend its condolences to the family and friends of Seattle Breakers alumni Mitch Wilson who passed away on Saturday following a battle with ALS. Wilson played 124 games in the WHL with Seattle and had 26 goals and 40 assists. His pro career lasted 11 seasons and included stops with the New Jersey Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins.
