Willms heads to Victoria

The Victoria Royals sent a 2024 sixth-round WHL Prospects Draft pick to the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for 2002-born forward Caleb Willms.

Willms, who is from Cochrane, AB, has played 52 WHL games, registering five goals and 10 assists.

McMaster joins the Royals

The Victoria Royals traded a conditional seventh-round 2023 WHL Prospects Draft pick to the Winnipeg ICE for 2002-born defenseman Anson McMaster.

McMaster, who is from Siksika, AB, has played 80 WHL games, scoring one goal and adding six assists.

Jean Jr. nabs first WHL goal

Opening the scoring at 3:04 of the first period, 17-year-old forward Dwayne Jean Jr. scored his first WHL goal as the Tri-City Americans took a 1-0 lead over the Spokane Chiefs.

Jean Jr, who is from Edmonton, AB was signed by the Americans. He was playing in his seventh WHL game.

Cicek scores first WHL goal

With his Spokane Chiefs up 5-2, 17-year-old forward Michael Cicek nabbed his first WHL goal to increase the lead.

Cicek, who is from Winnipeg, MB, was selected by the Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2019 WHL Draft. He was playing in his sixth WHL game.

McMillan scores his first WHL goal

16-year-old forward Deegan McMillan scored his first WHL goal at 19:53 of the third period to make it a 7-3 game in favour of the Spokane Chiefs.

McMillan, who hails from Vernon, BC is a signed listed player. He was playing in his fifth WHL game.

Reichle pots first WHL goal

5:48 into the first period against the Victoria Royals, Prince George Cougars forward Liekit Reichle scored his first WHL goal to give the Cougars a lead.

Reichle, who hails from Zurich, Switzerland, was selected 23rd overall by the Cougars at the 2021 CHL Import Draft. He was playing in his seventh WHL game.

Briltz scores first WHL goal

17-year-old forward Carter Briltz scored at 9:19 of the first period to tie the game at 1-1 with the Prince George Cougars. The Cougars went on to win 4-1.

Briltz, who hails from Regina, SK, was selected by the Royals in the fifth round of the 2019 WHL Draft. It was his seventh WHL game.

Ferster grabs first WHL goal

18-year-old forward Ashton Ferster scored his first WHL goal at 16:13 of the first period to give the Medicine Hat Tigers a 1-1 tie with the Edmonton Oil Kings. The Oil Kings went on to win 5-4.

Ferster, who is from Shellbrook, SK, was selected in the fourth round of the 2018 WHL Draft. He was playing in his 19th WHL game.
