Kelton Pyne made 24 stops as the Regina Pats beat the visiting Calgary Hitmen 5-0 at the Brandt Centre. The White City, SK product was playing in just his second DUB game. The 16-year-old netminder is 15-8-0 with the Regina Pat Canadians (SMAAAHL) and has a 2.19 GAA and ,906 SV%. He has also appeared in one game with the Melville Millionaires (SJHL) where he had a clean sheet in his only appearance.
King notches first career goal for Broncos

17-year-old Karson King scored his first career goal for the Swift Current Broncos in a 4-3 OT win over the Brandon Wheat Kings. The Broncos sixth round pick in 2019 (111th overall) was playing in his 29th career game and now has four points (1G-3A)

Fifteen-year-old Roger McQueen suited up for his first career DUB game and notched an assist in a 4-3 OT loss to the Swift Current Broncos. The fourth overall pick in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft has been playing for the Saskatoon Blazers (SMAAAHL) where he has 45 points (15G-30A) in 33 games.

15-year-old first overall 2021 WHL Prospects Draft pick Berkly Catton made his debut with the Spokane Chiefs. The forward from Saskatoon, SK was held off the scoresheet. Catton had started the season with Shattuck St. Mary’s 16U AAA where he had 23 points (11G-12A) in 15 games, he is now on the Saskatoon Contacts where he has 33 points (13G-20A) in 16 games with the SMAAAHL team.

Dale Weise (Swift Current 2005-08) is no longer with IK Oskarshamn of the SHL (Sweden) where he had three points (2G-1A) in 17games. The former New York Rangers fourth-round pick (111th overall in 2008) has played 513 games in the NHL.

Greg Scott (Seattle 2005-09) signed a two-year contract extension with the SHL’s Brynäs IF. He is currently in his sixth season with the SHL club since the 2013-14 season, with a three-year stint in the KHL sandwiched between. In 36 games this season he has 22 points (6G-16A).
The club’s press release translated to English:
“It has been a total of six seasons in Brynäs and Gävle, now we are charging for two more. Greg Scott extends the contract and becomes loyal to Brynäs.
– I am happy that we have been able to extend with an important player and culture carrier, says Johan Alcén, sports director.
33-year-old Scott came to Brynäs before the 2013/14 season and quickly became an audience favorite with a sacrificial offensive game with a solid points production as a result. In addition to three seasons in the KHL with games for CSKA Moscow, Scott has been loyal to Brynäs.”
In 278 DUB games with the Thunderbirds, the Victoria, BC product had 205 points on 96 goals and 109 assists.
Woods extends with MoDo

Riley Woods (Regina, Spokane 2015-19) has signed a one-year extension with MoDo (Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan) where is playing in his first season overseas. In 40 games with MoDo, he has 40 points (20G-20A).
The Regina product opened his DUB career with the Pats before being dealt to the Chiefs. In 230 career WHL games, he had 180 points (75G-105A).
