Michal Gut (Everett Silvertips) and Jonas Peterek (Calgary Hitmen) have been removed from the Czech Republic roster ahead of the 2020 World Juniors. It’s worth noting that Gut did not attend camp with the Czech Republic as he was dealing with an injury suffered last Friday.

Inaki Baragano has been returned to the Kamloops Blazers after attending selection camp with Switzerland ahead of the 2020 World Juniors. He was back in the Blazers lineup on Friday night against Saskatoon and had two shots on goal.

- Medicine Hat’s Mads Sogaard was named Denmark’s Player of the Game in a 1-0 shutout loss to Norway
- Prince Albert’s Aliaksei Protas scored once while Ilya Usau added an assist for Belarus.

The Regina Pats have recalled defenseman Steven Zonneveld from the Drumheller Dragons of the AJHL. The 18-year-old defenseman played 42 games with the Pats last season and tallied a goal and six assists. He played 24 games with Drumheller this year scoring two goals and adding seven assists.

The Prince George Cougars have released Koehn Ziemmer from the active roster after one game with the club. He’ll return St. Albert Raiders of the AMHL where he has 10 goals and six assists in 15 games.

- Seattle’s Jordan Gustafson and Spencer Penner made their WHL debuts after being recalled from their respective club teams.

WHL Referee Adam Byblow received the WHL’s Milestone award prior to Friday’s Kamloops-Saskatoon game. Byblow has officiated over 650 WHL games in his 21 seasons around the WHL.
