Rockets deal Tisdale and a pick for Boyko

The Kelowna Rockets announced this morning that they have traded 2002-born goaltender Cole Tisdale and a third-round 2024 WHL Prospects Draft pick to the Tri-City Americans in exchange for 2002-born goaltender Talyn Boyko.

Boyko, 19, from Drumheller, AB, is a fourth-round 2021 NHL Draft pick of the New York Rangers. He has played 56 WHL games, all with the Tri-City Americans. He sports a 15-31-4 record, a 4.26 goals-against average, and a .888 career save percentage. This season he is 1-6-1, with a 4.49 GAA and .887 sv%.

Tisdale, 19, from Lethbridge, AB has appeared in 12 WHL games, all with the Rockets. His record is 5-1-2, with a 3.14 goals-against average and a .888 save percentage. This season he is 3-0-1 with a 1.83 GAA and, a .927 sv%.
