Winterhawks preseason recap: Introducing Greg Wallace

Josh Critzer joined Portland Winterhawks play-by-play announcer Nick Marek from the radio booth in Tri-City to recap the team’s first five preseason games. Nick and Josh were joined by Greg Wallace who will be alongside Nick for the call of Portland’s home games this season. The guys discussed who stood out in the preseason prior to the final preseason game,  the progression of some of the younger Winterhawks, and a quick breakdown of the projected roster for the home opener.

Josh is passionate about hockey and relishes covering prospects and non-NHL teams. He spent 25 years in Minnesota where high school and NCAA hockey is king. After moving to Portland in 2015, the WHL and specifically the Winterhawks now tops his list of favorites. Although, he will never waver from his stance that players under 18 should have to wear full cages or fish bowls.
