DUBNetwork Feature Game of the night: Everett Silvertips @ Tri-City Americans 7:05 PDT

The Everett Silvertips were stunned in overtime 3-2 by the Tri-City Americans last night in Game 3 of their first round series.

Coming into tonight, the Tri-City Americans take to their own ice with some newfound confidence against the squad that led the US Division. That Everett Silvertips are still leading the series by a 2-1 margin, although that could disintegrate tonight with an Americans win.

Last night it took extra time, but the hosts got it done with Parker AuCoin counting the game winner just under eight minutes into overtime.

Americans backstopper Beck Warm was also stellar again stopping 39-of-41 shots he faced throughout the game.

Something to watch tonight will be the Americans powerplay after going just two for nine in last night’s contest.

Historically in four previous playoff series between these teams, only one has gone beyond five games long. All of the other series finishing up in five games or less.

After winning last night, Tri-City did in turn break some kind of streak though, as they had lost five games in a row against the SIlvertips coming in.

The special teams could prove to be the difference again for the winning squad again tonight as four of the five goals scored last night were on the powerplay.
