Despite heroic performances by Griffen Outhouse, the Victoria Royals find themselves just one loss away from being eliminated from the 2019 WHL Playoffs by the Vancouver Giants.

Sure you could say the Giants have dominated the series if you look at the shots on goal category.

Two of the three games in this series have been decided in overtime though, and with a matter of inches, this series could be totally flipped around.

Game 3 was nearly stolen by the man in net for the Royals, a mere image of Game 2 at the Langley Events Centre.

Owen Hardy was the knight in shining armor for the G-men, as he scored the game winner in overtime and also set the tone for the third period in that game by finding the twine just 14 seconds in.

The Holt, Hardy, and Dmytriw line for the Giants has been coming out in full force all series as they come into Game 3 combined for five of the 10 goals scored by the Giants in the series.

Vancouver doesn’t just have one potent line, they have many.

That’s been perhaps the stem of the problem for Victoria who just haven’t been able to find a way through the Giants depth.
