“We got Moose Jaw at the right time playing a 3-in-3,” Pats head coach and general manager John Paddock said. “But you have to take advantage of it. You have to play the right way and take advantage of it. You play the right way, you get rewarded for it. So it’s a good lesson for us to keep playing right.”

“It’s going out and executing,” Paddock commented about the Pats’ play. “Just do the right things. It’s what the other team is trying to do too. I said the other day: I like our team, I like our players, but you have to go out and play. You have to play right.”

First Period

Regina opened the scoring just 2:44 into the contest when Brook notched his second of the campaign. Tom Cadieux’s point shot was redirected in front to Easton Armstrong wh tried a backhand that got over to Brook who put it home as he was being cross-checked into the Warrior cage.

The Pats had a 6-1 lead and 27-12 shot clock advantage through the opening two periods.

Third Period

“I like that we did a lot of right things in getting the win,” Paddock added. “That’s the most important thing. You just can’t turn the tap on and off on executing. Some of the things that we want to be traits of our team that have been in and out — for various reasons — we did them pretty well today.”
