A closer look at the Regina Pats 2021-22 schedule

Now up-to-date with the full Pats schedule.

In what should be a normal 2021-22 regular season the WHL has released most of their schedule. The Regina Pats released their home schedule via their social media channels on June 28th.

The Pats open their season on the first weekend of the schedule with a home and home against the Prince Albert Raiders. They visit the Art Hauser Centre in Prince Albert on October 1st and host the Raiders the next night at the Brandt Centre in Regina.

With the WHL finalizing the 2021-22 schedule, things have become clearer. The Pats have a pair of six-game home stands, the first one being from October 31st to November 13th and the second being March 2nd to 12th.

There are a couple of scheduling quirks within a week of each other. The Pats travel to Winnipeg to play the ICE on back-to-back nights (January 15 and 16). Five days later the Pats play back-to-back nights in Brandon (January 21 and 22). The Pats then host the Raiders in back-to-back home games (January 25 and 28).

The Pats play their first non-East Division or Hub Centre club on November 10th when the Red Deer Rebels visit the Brandt Centre.

In what is a rather unbalanced schedule the Pats’ main opposition is Moose Jaw. The two teams clash ten times. Prince Albert is up next up with eight contests against the Raiders. The Pats play the Wheat Kings and ICE on seven occasions each during the season. The Pats and Blades meet up for six games.

When it comes to the Central Division, the Pats will play the Broncos, Hurricanes, and Hitmen six times. The Oil Kings, Tigers, and Rebels meet the Pats four times each.
