Firkus, who was profiled on DUBNetwork last week, has been improving rapidly throughout the Subway WHL Hub campaign and notched six of his 13 points on the season so far over the past week.
A 16-year-old rookie from Irma, AB, Firkus scored a career-high three points during the club’s 6-5 overtime loss to the Winnipeg ICE last Wednesday.

Firkus has established himself as a key part of the Warriors’ very effective No. 1 power-play unit, helping the group to a strong 22.6% mark heading into the final game of the campaign – good enough for third in the Regina Hub.
He is one of a number of skilled young Moose Jaw forwards who have burst upon the WHL scene this year.
Developing a game plan around your players strengths is crucial ☝️@MJWARRIORS head coach @markoleary85 has two great shooters in @firkus_jagger and Brayden Yager and his powerplay is tailored to them. @TheWHL @CHLHockey #SubwayWHLHub
