The Trans-Canada Clash
The Moose Jaw-Regina ‘Trans-Canada Clash’ rivalry was nothing short of epic during the Subway WHL Hub, with all but one contest going into overtime; so fans have to be wondering: how long do I have to wait before we can see the Warriors battle Connor Bedard and the Pats?
That answer, thankfully, is ‘not very long’. Game 3, Fri., Oct. 8 in Moose Jaw will see Bedard and Brayden Yager, the Warriors’ fine ’05 birth year of their own, go at it for the first of 10 clashes between the two.
Moose Jaw bench boss Mark O’Leary was not coy at all about the feeling that the rivalry means a lot to the Warriors team and fans every opportunity he could during the 2021 Hub campaign, and that the Warriors were literally the only WHL team to keep Bedard off the scoresheet for a whole game last season was not lost on any of them.
It is going to be fun!
