Bedard named DUB Player of the Week

Sixteen-year-old Connor Bedard was named the WHL Player of the Week after collecting seven points (4G-3A) in his three games this week.

The North Vancouver, BC product had a pretty good week:

The former first-overall selection by the Regina Pats (2020 WHL Draft) has 30 points (14G-16A) in his last 13 games and has 45 points (24G-21A) in 33 games this season.

MacInnes named DUB Goalie of the Week

2002-born Koen MacInnes was named DUB Goaltender of the Week after picking up a 24 save shutout on February 5th in a 6-0 win over the Prince George Cougars marking his third shutout of the season. He has played 19 games with the Tips this year going 13-3-1 with a 2.60 goals against average and .899 save percentage.

After starting his DUB career with the Saskatoon Blades (selected 35th overall in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft) before being traded to the Silvertips in the summer. He has gone 31-10-3 in 50 career games he has a 2.71 GAA and .902 SV% with six shutouts.

Broncos prospect Hanson commits to AJHL’s Bulldogs

Otto Hanson, the Swift Current Broncos 2nd round pick, 45th overall in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft has signed a letter of intent to play for the Blackfalds Bulldogs of the AJHL.

The 15-year-old forward from Calgary plays for Edge School U18 Prep where he has 10 points (3G-7A) in 24 games. He has also suited up for one game with the Bulldogs where he was held off the scoresheet.

Fix-Wolansky recalled by Blue Jackets

Trey Fix-Wolansky (Edmonton 2016-19) was recalled by the Columbus Blue Jackets on an emergency basis from the Cleveland Monsters AHL franchise. The 22-year-old, 204th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft (Columbus) is in his third season with the Monsters. This season he has 17 points (9G-8A) in 22 games.

Reddekopp returned to Stingrays

Chaz Reddekopp (Victoria 2012-18) was returned to the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL by the Tuscon Roadrunners of the AHL. In 12 games with the Roadrunners he had an assist.
