DUB’s Daily Dose: Maier plays 200th, picks up 115th win, Zacharias notches first point and more!

 

Maier plays 200th game for the Blades

Nolan Maier played in his 200th game with the Saskatoon Blades on Sunday and helped guide the Blades to a 4-2 win over the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors. His career DUB record is now 115-64-17. His 115th win now ties him with Troy Gamble (Medicine Hat, Spokane 1984-88) for seventh all-time in wins. He is now just five wins away from tying Tyson Sexsmith (Vancouver, Medicine Hat [5 minutes] 2004-09) and Corey Hirsch (Kamloops 1988-92) for most DUB wins all-time.

Zacharias notches first point

Raiden Zacharias picked up his first career DUB assist in a Regina Pats 4-3 OT loss to the hometown Calgary Hitmen. He picked up the secondary assist on the game’s opening goal by Layton Feist who was set up by Connor Bedard with a nice spin-o-rama pass.
