The Oil Kings moved on up back to first overall in the CHL weekly Top-10 rankings. The Silvertips moved into second place while the ICE rounded out the top three in the CHL. The Winterhawks fell to seventh and the Blazers fell to eighth, but both stayed in the rankings. The Thunderbirds grabbed an honorable mention spot this week.

18-year-old Tikhon Chaika picked up his first career DUB whitewash stopping 26 shots in a 1-0 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday. The Belarusian netminder has now played in 33 games where he is 13-14-1-1. With the shutout he now ports a 2.98 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage.
McCallum signs with Tigers

Ethan McCallum signed a Standard Player Agreement with the Medicine Hat Tigers today. The 6-ft-2 goalie from Brandon, MB was the Tigers’ second-round pick, 39th overall in the 2021 Prospects Draft.
The 15-year-old has been playing with the Notre Dame Hounds U16 Prep team where he has played in 20 games, going 5-12-0-1 with a 4.12 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage. He has also played one game with the U18 Hounds AAA team where he is 1-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and a .913 SV%.
Bokk reassigned to Eisbären Berlin

The Prince Albert Raiders’ first-round selection in the 2017 CHL Import Draft (7th overall), Dominik Bokk, was reassigned to the Eisbären Berlin of the German DEL. The 22-year-old German was a first-round NHL selection of the St. Louis Blues (25th overall in 2018). He has been playing for the Chicago Wolves of the AHL where he has 10 points (3G-7A) in 32 contests.
The highly-touted prospect never crossed over the Atlantic to play in the WHL.
