Blazers punch their ticket to the postseason

With their 4-3 shootout win over the Everett Silvertips, the Kamloops Blazers clinched the DUB’s second postseason birth.

Warm reassigned to Admirals

Beck Warm (Tri-City, Edmonton 2014-20) was reassigned to the Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL by their parent club Chicago Wolves (AHL). The 22-year-old netminder made one appearance for the Wolves going 0-1-0 with a 5.01 goals-against average and a .800 save percentage. He has played 16 games with the Admirals where he is 6-9-1 with a 3.06 GAA and .907 SV%.

The Whistler, BC product played 150 DUB games, mostly with the Americans before ending his career with a 15 game stint with the Oil Kings. His career record was 71-56-13 with a 3.15 GAA, ,908 SV%, and 5 shutouts.

Connolly assigned to IceHogs

Brett Connolly (Prince George 2007-11) was reassigned to the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) by the Chicago Blackhawks. The 29-year-old forward had played nine games with the Hawks where he has an assist. In 17 games with the AHL’s IceHogs, he has 12 points (6G-6A).

The Campbell River, BC product played his DUB career with the Cougars where he played 144 games, collecting 152 points (86G-66A), and was the Cougars’ captain for his final season with the club.

Bowey recalled by Vancouver

Madison Bowey (Kelowna 2010-15) was recalled by the Vancouver Canucks from their AHL affiliate in Abbotsford. The 26-year-old has played a pair of games with the Canucks where he has been held off the scoresheet. With the baby Canucks he has suited up in 33 games collecting 16 points (4G-12A).

The defenseman played his DUB career with the Rockets where he served as captain for his final two seasons. The high-scoring defenseman played 259 with the Rockets where he had 172 points (58G-114A), 120 of them in his final two seasons.

Pederson waived by Sharks

Lane Pederson (Seattle, Red Deer, Swift Current 2013-17) was placed on waivers by the San Jose Sharks. The 24-year-old forward was acquired by the Sharks in July 2021 and promptly signed a two-year deal with the Sharks. In 26 games with the Sharks this season he has a pair of assists.

The Saskatoon, SK product shuffled around the DUB but found a home with the Broncos where he played the last half of his career. He had collected 140 points (53G-87A) in 199 games with 99 (39G-60A in 99 games) of them with the Broncos.
