17-year-old defenceman Grayden Siepmann scored his first WHL goal at 8:44 of the first period as the Calgary Hitmen took a 1-0 lead over the Swift Current Broncos. The Hitmen went on to win 4-1.
Siepmann, who is from Abbotsford, BC, was Calgary’s first-round pick at the 2019 WHL Draft. It was his 24th WHL game.

Making his first WHL start, 16-year-old goaltender Carson Bjarnason earned his first WHL win He stopped 39 of 41 shots the Regina Pats threw his way. It was his fourth appearance this season.
Bjarnason, who hails from Carberry, MB, was listed and signed by the Brandon Wheat Kings.
Juulsen dealt to Canucks

24-year-old defenceman Noah Juulsen (30 goals, 94 assists in 240 games with Everett 2012-17) has been traded by the Florida Panthers to the Vancouver Canucks.
Juulsen spent 2020-21 split between the Panthers (4GP, 0G, 0A) and the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch (5GP, 0G, 1A). He was originally a first-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2015.

26-year-old defenceman Eric Roy (48 goals, 152 assists in 322 games with Brandon 2010-15) has signed with the Allen Americans of the ECHL.
Roy, who is from Meadow Lake, SK, did not play in 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was last seen splitting his time between the Warman Wildcats of the TRHL (1GP, 0G, 0A) and the Kindersley Senior
Klippers of the SWHL (5GP, 1G, 3A).
The Calgary Flames selected Roy in the fifth round of the 2013 NHL Draft.

Dwyer, who is from Winnipeg, MB, spent 2020-21 with the SPHL’s Birmingham Bulls, earning six assists in 41 games.

21-year-old defenceman Christian Riemer (1 goal, 6 assists in 56 games with Swift Current and Portland 2017-20) and 21-year-old forward Riley Krane (34 goals, 35 assists in 153 games with Regina and Moose Jaw 2016-21) are headed to the University of Regina.
Riemer, who hails from Regina, SK spent the 2020-21 season with the MJHL’s Steinbach Pistons, where he had three assists in eight games.
Krane, who hails from Dawson Creek, BC, spent the 2020-21 season with the Moose Jaw Warriors (24GP, 5G, 7A) and the Dawson Creek Jr. Canucks of the NWJHL (2GP, 3G, 1A)
Johnson joins Trinity Western University
23-year-old forward Kolby Johnson (1 goal, 5 assists in 83 games with Prince George and Prince Albert 2014-18) has joined Trinity Western University.
Johnson, who is from Rosetown, SK, transferred from York University following a season in which he did not play any games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2005-born forward Grayden Slipec has made a commitment to the University of North Dakota. Slipec is a Kamloops Blazers draft pick, selected in the second round of the 2020 WHL Draft.
Slipec, who is from Surrey, BC, has two assists in two BCHL games with the Surrey Eagles.
