Seven-year deal for the Rebels

In an article by Red Deer Advocate’s Byron Hackett, it is mentioned that the Red Deer Rebels have signed a new seven-year lease at Westerner Park Centrium. The Centrium has hosted the Memorial Cup, IIHF World Junior Championships, NHL/CHL Top Prospects game, and the Alberta Winter Games among other non-hockey events.

Filip Ahl (54GP, 28G, 20A with Regina ’16-’17) has signed with Bratislava Capitals of the IceHL (formerly EBEL). Following three seasons playing in his native Sweden, Ahl has decided to sign a deal to join the team in Slovakia. Last season Ahl scored 20 goals and added 26 assists in 50 games split between BIK Karlskoga and Sodertalje SK of HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden’s second-tier professional league.

Pochiro heads to Fort Wayne

Zach Pochiro (169GP, 61G, 86A with Prince George ’12-’15) has signed to play with his sixth team in the ECHL. The Fort Wayne Comets announced the signing of Pochiro following a season with the Esbjerg Energy of Denmark’s top professional league. Last season Pochiro scored 16 goals and added 18 assists in 41 contests with the Energy.

Dinos add White

Jaeger White (219GP, 43G, 63A with Lethbridge, Everett, Brandon, Medicine Hat, and Kootenay ’13-’19) has joined the Calgary Dinos 2020-21 recruiting class. Last season White was a member of the Carlton University team but did not see any game action.
