The Regina Pata have released 2003-born defensemen Parker Berge and Marcus Taylor from the team’s active roster. Berge will report to the Northern Alberta X-Treme in the CSSHL while Taylor is headed to the Burnaby Winter Club, also in the CSSHL. Americans and Chiefs play full game at 4-on-4
Due to players being away at development camps and out with unexpected injuries, the @spokanechiefs are unable to dress a full roster. Therefore, tonight's game will be played four-on-four per @TheWHL office authorization.#AmsNation pic.twitter.com/Iu0mdip6fB

The Tri-City Americans and Spokane Chiefs played a full game of 4-on-4 hockey on Saturday evening. The ruling came from the WHL Office as the Chiefs were unable to ice a full roster of 18 skaters due to players being away at development camps and unexpected injuries. The ruling is believed to be the first in WHL History. The ruling didn’t help the Chiefs much as they dropped the preseason game to the Americans by a score of 4-1.

In a sight not seen often at this level, both teams had their white jerseys for the night’s contest. The Kelowna Rockets had to wear the dark red Vancouver Giants jersey as they took on the Everett Silvertips last night.
